Smilies Legend
[i]One of [Chief Designer at the Lavochkin Design Bureau Georgi] Babakin's final dreams had been to recover soil samples from the far side of the Moon. Work on such a project had, in fact, begun in 1970 during his lifetime. The plan consisted of an orbiter and a lander — the former to serve as a communications satellite between the latter and Earth.
